SNIPER Initiated Tactical Action ©



LEARNING OBJECTIVE:

 

The objective of this course is to provide the student with the information, theory, concepts, principles and tactics to initiate sniper tactical action to safely resolve high risk, life threatening criminal incidents.

 

 

 

CONTENT:

 

  • Life threatening criminal and hostage incidents are examined and discussed.

 

  • Leadership and political issues are examined and discussed.

 

  • Safety issues are examined and discussed.

 

  • Considerations for deployment of sniper initiated tactical action are examined and discussed.

 

  • Concepts, principles and tactics of sniper initiated tactical action are examined, discussed and exercised.

 

  • Areas of training, assessment, equipment and resource requirements for the implementation and deployment of sniper initiated tactical action are examined and discussed.

 

  • Ammunition ballistic data is examined and discussed.

 

  • Areas of supervision and teamwork are examined and discussed.

 

  • The "tactical combat fighting mindset" is examined and discussed.

 

  • Practical shooting exercises are conducted and reviewed.

 

  • A practical proficiency assessment is established, rehearsed and  conducted.

 

 

 

LENGTH OF COURSE:

 

This course is twenty-four (24) hours.

 

 

 

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

 

The student is required to demonstrate marksmanship proficiency with their sniper weapon system.

 

The student is required to successfully complete course work, research project, and final assessment for certification by the USTRMC.

 

 

 

COST OF COURSE:

 

This cost of this course is $150.00 (one hundred, fifty dollars).
