Safety Shooting and Self Defense Instruction ©



LEARNING OBJECTIVE:

 

The objective of this course is to provide the student with the safety, legal, marksmanship and tactical theories, principles and concepts for owning, possessing or using firearms, and for providing and exercising physical self defense without a weapon.

 

 

 

CONTENT:

 

  • Weapon safety is presented, conducted, examined and discussed.

 

  • Safety mind-set is examined and discussed.

 

  • The "tactical combat fighting mind-set" is presented, conducted, examined and discussed.

 

  • Use of force legal and constitutional issues are presented, examined and discussed.

 

  • Handgun, shotgun and rifle terminology and nomenclature is presented, examined and discussed.

 

  • Ballistic data is presented, examined and discussed.

 

  • Gunfight data is presented, examined and discussed.

 

  • Marksmanship information is presented, examined and discussed.

 

  • The sequence for firing is presented, examined and discussed.

 

  • Immediate actions to counter weapon malfunctions are presented, conducted, examined and discussed.

 

  • Weapon retention is presented, conducted, examined and discussed.

 

  • Weapon maintenance is presented and conducted.

 

  • Range instructions are presented and conducted.

 

  • Handgun, shotgun and rifle shooting is conducted.

 

  • Self defense tactics are presented, conducted, examined and discussed.

 

 

 

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

 

The student is required to successfully complete course work, research project, and final assessment for certification by the USTRMC.

 

 

 

LENGTH OF COURSE:

 

This course is eight (8) hours.

 

 

 

COST OF COURSE:

 

The cost of this course is $50.00 (fifty dollars).
