LEARNING OBJECTIVE:

 

The objective of this course is to provide the student with the theory, concepts, principles, tactics and protocol to safely resolve hostage taking incidents and other dangerous criminal incidents on a bus or train car.

 

 

 

CONTENT:

 

  • Bus and train car emergency shut-down familiarization will be examined and discussed.

 

  • Hostage rescue training requirements are examined and discussed.

 

  • Equipment needed for the execution of tactics is examined and discussed.

 

  • Personnel staffing and assignments is examined and discussed.

 

  • Tactical movements are examined and discussed.

 

  • Blitz and safety procedures are examined and discussed.

 

  • Close quarter battle, weapon retention and fields of fire tactics are examined and discussed.

 

  • Arrest, control and security procedures are examined, discussed and exercised.

 

  • Practical training drills and exercises are rehearsed and conducted.

 

 

 

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

 

The student is required to successfully complete course work, research project, and final assessment for certification by the USTRMC.

 

 

 

LENGTH OF COURSE:

 

This course is sixteen (16) hours.

 

 

 

COST OF COURSE:

 

The cost of this course is $250.00 (two hundred, fifty dollars).
